WHAT IS EGG CURRY:

This Egg curry is a Bengali side dish. In Bengali cuisine it called Dimer Jhol. The Dish has spicy and delicious gravy, and this is the main part of it.  In Bengali cuisine it is a good side dish for lunch with rice, but you can go with anything you want to. Egg contains plenty of good proteins and calories. INGREDIENTS:

*1cup - 250ml; *1tbsp. – Tablespoon; *1tsp. – Teaspoon;  
  • Egg – 3 pieces
  • Onions – 2 medium size
  • Potato – 1 big size (If you want, you can skip the potato)
  • Ginger and garlic paste – 1 tbsp.
  • Oil – 2 to 3 tbsp.
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
  • Red chili powder – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp.
  • Salt – as your taste
  • Water – 2 cups

INSTRATIONS:


1. Boil the three eggs, take them into cool water and peel them.

2. Cut the potato in medium size, wash it well.

3.  Finely chop 2 onions.


HOW TO MAKE EGG CURRY:


Step 1:  Heat the pan, take 1 tbsp. of oil and heat it, now add ¼ tsp of salt, ¼ tsp. of turmeric(Haldi) powder on oil, put the eggs on oil and fry in golden color. Take them out in a bowl.

Step 2:  In same way fry the potatoes in golden brown and take them out in a bowl.

**Tips: If you have health problem or any other problem, you can skip the potato and add one more onion instead of it.

Step 3: Now on same pan add 2 tbsp. more oil and heat it, add chopped onions on pan and fry it in golden color.

Step 4: In that stage add 1 tbsp. of ginger and garlic paste and roast them for 2 minutes. Now add ½ tsp. of turmeric (haldi) powder, ½ tsp. of red chili powder and some water on it, mix and fry for ½ minute.

Step 5: In that stage put the fried potatoes and eggs on roasted masalas, fry for another 1 minute and put 2 cups of water on it. When it start boiling, put on the lid and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Step 6: Turn off the heat, add ½ tsp. of garam masala on it. Egg Curry is ready to be served. This dish is a good combo with rice in lunch time.
