 INGREDIENTS:

*1cup - 250ml; *1tbsp. – Tablespoon; *1tsp. – Teaspoon; 
  • Fresh fish (Catla) – 4 pieces
  • Black mustard seed – 2 tbsp
  • Poppy (Khaskhas) seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric (haldi) powder – 1 tsp
  • Black cumin (kalonji) – ½ tsp
  • Raw mango – ½ cup
  • Potato – 1 big size
  • Green Chili – 2 to 3 pieces
  • Salt – 1½ tsp or as per your taste
  • Water – 2 cup
  • Oil – 4 to 5 tbsp



Follow these steps to make mango fish curry


PREPARATION:

1. Take 4 pieces of fresh Fish, wash them well. Now add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and ½ tsp of salt on it and Mix it. Now rest the fish for 10 to 15 minutes to marinate.

2. Meantime, cut the potato and mango into medium pieces and wash them.

3. Now take a mixture jar and put 1 tbsp. of poppy seeds, 2 tbsp. of mustard seed and 3 green chilies on it and grind them into a thick paste.

RECIPE:


Step 1: Take a fry pan on heat, put 3 to 4 tbsp. of oil and heat it. Now add the fish pieces on pan and fry them till red color. Take them out on a plate.

Tips: you can also deep fry the fish pieces.


Step 2: Put 2 tbsp. of oil on same pan, heat it and add ½ tsp of black cumin (kalonji) seeds on it. Add chopped potatoes on pan and fry them for 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 3: Now add ½ tsp of turmeric (haldi) powder and masala paste on potatoes and roast them for at least 2 minutes. Add 2 cups of water on pan, wait for boiling then put a lid on it.


Step 4: After 5 to 10 minutes or when the potatoes are well cooked, then add the raw mango pieces and fish pieces on this hot gravy.


Step 5: Cook them for another 5 minutes on low flame with lid. Your Mango Fish Curry is ready to be served. This is a good combo with hot rice at lunch time. Try once at your home and enjoy your meal with your family.
