Special South Indian style Onion Pakora

INGREDIENTS:

*1cup - 250ml; *1tbsp. – Tablespoon; *1tsp. – Teaspoon; 
  • Onions – 3 medium sizes
  • Gram flour – ½ cup
  • Red chili Powder – 1 tsp (you can also use green chilies)
  • Rice flour – 1½ to 2 tbsp.
  • Curry leaves – ½ cup (or 2 bunches)
  • Salt – 1 tsp or as per your taste
  • Water – ¼ cup
  • Oil – for deep fry


Follow these easy steps to make Onion Pakora


PREPARATIONS:

1.  Cut the 3 onions into medium slices.

2.  Wash the curry leaves and chop them.


RECIPE:


Step 1: Take a big bowl, put the onions slices and curry leaves in it. Now add ½ cup gram flour, 2 tbsp. of rice flour, 1 tsp of red chili powder and 1 tsp of salt in the bowl one by one. Mix them very well.


Tips: Use your hand to mix them, make sure that every slice of onion is separated on that time.


Step 2: Meantime add little water at a time on the Pakora mixture and mix them, make a thick bind of batter. Rest this batter for 5 to 10 minutes.

THICK PAKORA BATTER

Tips: you can also use grated cheese on this to add more cheesy taste.


Step 3: Take a fry pan on heat, add one cup of oil on pan and heat it. Now use a spoon to take the batter and put it on the oil one by one.
 
DEEP FRY THE POKORA

Tips: Make sure that do the allover frying on low heat.


Step 4: Fry the Pakora for 3 to 5 minutes on low flame and take them out on a plate covered by tissue paper.

Step 5: South Indian Style Onion Pakora is ready to be served. Try this Indian Snacks at your home and make you weekend spicy, crunchy and tasty.
