WHAT IS BREAD:

Bread is a staple food for half of the world. It is called that origin of bread is Middle East. In bread’s world, you can find countless verities, like milk bread, wheat bread, bread loaf, sliced bread and many more. Here I am sharing with you a sweet bread recipe. Not only sweet, it has more ingredients, which you will definitely love.

TOTAL TIME TO MAKE FRUIT BREAD:

INGREDIENTS:

1cup-250ml/230gm; *1tbsp.–Tablespoon; *1tsp.–Teaspoon; 

  • All-purpose flour – 1½ cup
  • Jaggery powder / sugar – 2 tbsp.
  • Activated yeast – 1 tbsp.
  • Tutti frutti – 2 tbsp.
  • Milk – 2/3rd cup
  • Salt – ½ tbsp.
  • Butter – 2 tbsp.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.   Always strain the flour before using it.

2. It is sweet bread, so you can add Jaggery or sweet as per your taste preference.

3. Measurement is the key of any recipe, so follow the exact measurement.

4. Yeast is enough to rise up the flour, so don’t use any soda or baking powder.

5.   Don’t boil the water, otherwise your yeast will be dead & it not helps to make the dough perfectly.

6.   Milk is optional, instead of milk you can use same amount of lukewarm water.




HOW TO MAKE FRUIT BREAD:


Step 1: Make lukewarm milk. Pour it into a big bowl. Then add 2 tbsp. of jaggery powder & 1 tbsp. of activated yeast. Stir them & cover it for 3-4 minutes to activate.

Step 2: Add ½ tsp of salt into the yeast mixture.

Step 3: Now add 1½ cup of flour little by little into the yeast mixture. Make sticky dough using your palm. Don’t use extra flour to make it tight.

Step 4: Add 2 tbsp. of butter into the dough, knead them all together using your palm. Cover with lid for 1 hour to ferment the dough.

Step 5: Now time to add 2 tbsp. of tutti frutti into the dough, mix them all together.

Step 6: Sprinkle little of flour on a board. Put the dough on it. Make a big roti using the roller. (I have learnt this trick after making mistake several times)



Step 7: From one end of this roti, roll it to the other end. Seal the ends with using your finger.

Step 8: Put the dough into a butter greased baking tray. Cover it with a wet cloth for another 1 hour (Don’t skip the step even if you are in hurry). You will see it raised a lot.

Step 9: Put your oven at 180° in convection mode. Put the tray into it & bake for 30 minutes. Take it out, brush it with butter & cover it with a cloth for cooling down. Your fruit bread is ready for your Breakfast or dinner.

*** To get more soft bread, cover the baked bread with a normal cloth for 30 minutes post baking.

Yes, you can make bread without oven. Actually I have made bread without oven and it came out perfectly. In that case 1st you have to make you bread dough using my recipe. Then put it on a butter brushed tin. Now take a thick based tawa/kadai, put ample amount of salt to cover the pan/ kadai base. Then put the tin on it & Cover the tawa/kadai by a lid. Bake for 35 minutes on low flame. Your bread will be ready.
