WHAT IS PRAWN

Although prawn is not a fish, yet we like to eat it as prawn fish (Chingri mach), as it lives in water. People like to eat prawn because it has the ability to blend with any dish. Grill prawn is spicy, smoky, delicious & party type dish. We love to order it whenever we go for lunch or dinner. My gilled prawn recipe has the taste of restaurant but I have not use any kind of market’s grill or barbeque sauce for my recipe. So if you want to make healthy & delicious grill prawn, then you have came to the right place.

TOTAL TIME TO MAKE GRILLED PRAWN

INGREDIENTS

1cup-250ml/230gm; *1tbsp.–Tablespoon; *1tsp.–Teaspoon; 

  • Prawn (peeled) – 200gm 
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chili powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Red food color – ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Toothpick – as required
  • Curd – 4 tbsp.     
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Salt – ½ tsp

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  For this recipe we need peeled prawn.

2.   Food color is optional, instead of that you can use ½ tsp of Kashmiri red chili powder for red color.

3.  You can use toothpick for keeping the prawn straight (As it has a tendency to be like "C" shape after cooking). It is not necessary, so you can skip it.

4.  8 hours is the perfect time to marinate prawn. If you don’t have that much of time, marinate for at least 2-3 hours.

5.   If you don’t have oven, use a grill pan for grilling them. It will come out nicely.


HOW TO MAKE GRILLED PRAWN


Step 1: First we need to prepare gill sauce for the recipe. For that take a bowl, add 4 tbsp. of curd, 2 tsp of coriander, 1 tsp of cumin, ¼ tsp of garam masala, 2 tbsp. of oil,1 tbsp. of ginger garlic paste, ½ tsp of red chili, ¼ tsp of food color , ½ tsp of turmeric & ½ tsp of salt. Beat them all together to make a perfect grill sauce.

Step 2: Now put the peeled prawn into the grill sauce & mix them properly. Then put them into an air tight container & keep it inside a fridge for 8 hours. Let it marinate.

Tips: If you want your grill prawns to be straight. You can insert a toothpick into each prawn. 

Step 3: Now put them all on a grill tray.

Step 4: Put the tray into the oven. Set it at grill mode & cook for 30 minutes. Your grill prawn is ready to be served.
