WHAT IS LASSI

Lassi is a very popular drink in Punjab. Over there lunch is incomplete without lassi. Instead of toned milk’s curd, they use creamy and buttery curd for lassi. This kind of curd helps lassi to get exact texture alike authentic one. So always use creamy curd or both cream and curd to make it perfectly. Even though you are trying it for very first time, yet it will be great. It is very easy as well as healthy drink and for summer it has no other comparison for cooling your body. Mostly required ingredients we all have in our kitchen. Today we are going to make Mango lassi.

TOTAL TIME TO MAKE MANGO LASSI

INGREDIENTS

*1cup - 250ml; *1tbsp. – Tablespoon; *1tsp. – Teaspoon;

  •  Mango – 1 big ripe and sweet
  •  Black salt – ½ tsp
  •  Sugar – 3 tbsp.
  •  Curd – 4 tbsp.(use creamy curd)
  •  Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  •  Water – ½ cup
  •  Red chili powder – ¼ tsp


INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Choose sweet and ripe mango, if you couldn’t get it use more sugar and salt to balance it.

2.   Always choose creamy curd to make it as like as Punjabi lassi.

3.   Don’t use more than ¼ tsp of chili if you want you can skip it.

4.   If you have mango essence use 1 tsp to get the proper smell of mango.

5.   Use juice container (large one) of your mixture grinder to prepare the lassi.


HOW TO MAKE MANGO LASSI

Step 1: First peel the mango and cut it into small pieces. We don’t need the seed so put it aside.

Step 2: Put mango slices into mixture jar, after that add curd, cumin powder, chili powder, black salt, sugar and water into it.

Step 3: Mix it for 1½ minutes and your lassi is ready. Pour it into a glass and have it as healthy summer drink.


WHEN WE SHOULD DRINK LASSI

Lassi is Preferable after having lunch. It helps to cool down your body and also takes part in good digestion.
