WHAT IS LASSI

Lassi is a very popular drink in Punjab. Over there lunch is incomplete without lassi. Instead of toned milk’s curd, they use creamy and buttery curd for lassi. This kind of curd helps lassi to get exact texture alike authentic one. So always use creamy curd or both cream and curd to make it perfectly. Even though you are trying it for very first time, yet it will be great. It is very easy as well as healthy drink and for summer it has no other comparison for cooling your body. Mostly required ingredients we all have in our kitchen. Today I am going to make Creamy Masala Lassi.

TOTAL TIME TO MAKE MASALA LASSI

INGREDIENTS:

1cup-250ml/230gm; *1tbsp.–Tablespoon; *1tsp.–Teaspoon; 

  • Curd – ½ cup (use creamy curd)
  • Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Black salt – ½ tsp
  • Jaggery powder – 3 tbsp.
  • Lemon – ½ piece of lemon
  • Water –1cup

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Always choose creamy curd to make it as like as Punjabi lassi. 

2.   Use juice container (large one) of your mixer grinder to prepare the lassi. 

3. lemon juice makes a balance in lassi. If you don’t want skip it. 

4. Instead of jaggery you can use condensed milk or Sugar. 

5. You can also add some cream to get more creamy texture. 

6. Don't use sweet curd for this recipe.




HOW TO MAKE MASALA LASSI


Step 1: Take juice jar, put curd, cumin powder, black salt, jaggery powder & ½ cup of water. blend them for 2 minutes.

Step 2: Squeeze ½ piece of lemon juice & another ½ cup of water into it. Now blend them for another ½ minutes.

Step 3: Pour the lassi into a glass. Now keep it inside the fridge for ½ an hour. 

Step 4: Blend the cold lassi for another ½ minutes. your creamy lassi is ready to drink..

Lassi is Preferable after having lunch. It helps to cool down your body and also takes part in good digestion. Yes, lassi is healthy drink for us. It made with Curd (not sweet curd) & curd takes a active part of our digestion.
