FRUIT LASSI RECIPE

WHAT IS LASSI:

Lassi is a very popular drink in Punjab. Over there lunch is incomplete without lassi. Instead of toned milk’s curd, they use creamy and buttery curd for lassi. This kind of curd helps lassi to get exact texture alike authentic one. So always use creamy curd or both cream and curd to make it perfectly. Even though you are trying it for very first time, yet it will be great. It is very easy as well as healthy drink and for summer it has no other comparison for cooling your body. Mostly required ingredients we all have in our kitchen. Today I am going to make Fruit Lassi.

TOTAL TIME TO MAKE FRUIT LASSI:

INGREDIENTS:

1cup-250ml/230gm; *1tbsp.–Tablespoon; *1tsp.–Teaspoon; 
  • Sweet curd – 1 cup
  • Mango – 2/3rd cup
  • Pomegranate – ¼ cup
  • Black salt – ½ tsp
  • Water –1cup
  • Tutti frutti - 2 tbsp.

INSTRUCTIONS:


1.  Always choose creamy curd to make it as like as Punjabi lassi.

2.   Use juice container (large one) of your mixer grinder to prepare the lassi.

3. If  you are not using sweet curd then add 3 tbsp. of sugar or jaggery powder.

4. You can also add some cream to get more creamy texture.

5. If you don't like thick fruit lassi. You can add 1/2 cup of water into it during blending.



HOW TO MAKE FRUIT LASSI:


Step 1: Take a juice jar, put 1 cup of sweet curd, some mango slices, 1/2 tsp of black salt. Blend them for 2 minutes.

Step 2: Take a glass, put rest of the fruits (mango and pomegranate) into it.

Step 3: Pour the lassi on top of it. Now stir the lassi gently with a spoon.

Step 4: Add 2 tbsp. of tutti frutti on top of the fruit lassi. That's it. Keep it inside the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes. And your summer fruit lassi is ready to be enjoyed.
